On Saturday, 14th June 2025, Derby Hindu Temple gathered in solemn unity to offer peace prayers for the souls who tragically lost their lives in the recent Air India crash. This special service was attended by a heartfelt congregation of devotees, close colleagues of Dr. Joshi who served with dedication at the Royal Derby Hospital and local dignitaries, including Derby North MP Catherine Atkinson, South Derbyshire MP Samantha Niblet and Derby City Council head Nadine peatfield .
The collective presence of the community was a powerful expression of solidarity and compassion. It reflected the Hindu Mandir’s enduring role as a spiritual and cultural sanctuary, bringing people together in times of grief and offering strength through shared prayer.
As lamps were lit and mantras chanted, the atmosphere resonated with deep empathy and reverence, affirming our shared commitment to peace, remembrance, and healing. The temple extends its sincere condolences to all affected families and stands united with those mourning this profound loss.
